Malvika is an experienced and Gottman Level 3 certified Counselling Psychologist with a specialization in working with couples, families, and young adults. She is skilled at interacting with and assisting at-risk youth through individual, and family counselling on issues ranging from anxiety, depression, anger management, to relationship difficulties, and marital discord. She is dedicated to fostering a safe environment and works with each individual to improve their quality of life as she believes that all individuals are capable of and deserve compassion. Her couple therapy focuses on emotion, skill building for managing conflict, developing new skills for enhancing friendship, and helping the couple to create a system of shared meaning together. She aims at creating “master couples” who stay together and are happy with the relationship. Malvika uses research-based strategies and tools by John and Julie Gottman to help couples successfully manage conflict. She empowers partners to dialogue about their worst gridlocked issues by uncovering their underlying dreams, history, and values which helps couples process fights, heal their hurts, deepen their intimacy and minimise relapse. The therapist is also a certified Yoga and Meditation expert which she uses in her therapy to improve sleep disorders, increase mindfulness and other mental health disorders.
