VSMS – The Vineland Social Maturity Scale

This assessment is used to understand a child’s (0-15 years) social adaptive functioning and disability in the intelligence quotient. It assesses areas like communication, self-care, and socialization. This information is collected through an interview with the primary caregiver and through observation/interaction with the child. 

VABS – The Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales 

This assessment helps to understand the child’s ability to manage daily activities. It helps assess practical skills across various areas, such as communication, socialization, and motor skills. This information is collected through an interview with the primary caregiver and through observation/interaction with the child.

MISIC – The Malin’s Intelligence Scale for Indian Children 

This assessment helps understand a child’s verbal abilities between the ages of 6 and 15. It involves tasks and questions that are divided into verbal and performance components to see how well the child uses language, remembers things, and solves problems. 

BKT – The Binet Kamat Test 

This assessment is used to understand an individual’s intellectual abilities. It assesses various areas like reasoning, memory, language, conceptual thinking, visual motor and social intelligence skills in children and adults between the ages of 3 and 22 years.

SPM – Standard Progressive Matrices 

This assessment helps measure a child’s non-verbal reasoning skills i.e., their ability to identify patterns, solve problems, and think logically. This can be particularly helpful if the child struggles with traditional testing formats or has a language barrier. The SPM is suitable for a wide age range (8 – 65 years) to understand cognitive abilities.
